Continuous Improvement Lead
Fulltime

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead reports hierarchically to the Site Director and functionally to the Manager Operations & Lean. The CI Lead will be in close contact with global Industrial Performance Group peers to share best practices and advocate Delpharm Bladel site. The CI Lead is part of the Bladel Site Leadership Team (SLT).

As such, he supports the operational teams in their daily performance improvement activities. He supports the site leadership team (SLT) with the implementation of DES (Delpharm Excellence System) tools and methods by optimization of lead-time & the reduction of the process fault rate, as well the deployment of strategic objectives. Facilitate the organization in improving operational performance through problem solving, etc. Improve the operational efficiency of the Departments, through the management of projects, and development of teams.

Your responsibilities
As part of the deployment of DES defined for the scope of action, the CI Lead drives performance improvement projects (process & continuous improvement management) within the Bladel site.
This means:
• Identify the improvements potential at the site together with Site Leadership Team.
• Increase the capacity of the strategic lines
• Prioritize and select projects to allocate efficiently available resources
• Developing the organization (train) to carry out improvements efficiently and in line with the strategy

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead:
• Identifies and supports the identification of improvements potentials at the site through interviews, observation on the field, organization of workshops, data analysis, gap analysis
• Evaluates and / or provides support to assess identified opportunities in partnership with Finance
• Researchs and identifies continuous improvement concepts and recommend opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency
• Is responsible for defining, planning, supporting and executing the deployment of local and global CI activities
• Liaises with the Site Leadership Team regarding projects prioritization and people allocation
• As part of the Site Leadership Team, suggests prioritization and escalates resource issues
• Site Champion for Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement methodology
• Transfers the knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma methodologies inside the organization
• Evaluates the benefit resulting from continuous improvement projects in partnership with Finance

Main activities
• Ensures that continuous improvement becomes part of the culture of Site work at all levels:
-  select high potential to form the CI organization
-  coordinate the training of the CI organization through courses on Lean & Six Sigma methodology (green belt / black belt)
-  provides coaching during the execution of projects and ensures that the completion respect the defined timelines and is accountable for the achievement of the results
-  ensures that CI resources are allocated to projects according to the site priority and competences
-  plays the role of facilitator and organizer of events (e.g. Kaizen)
-  conduct periodical audits to ensure that LSS methodology is consistency applied (e.g. 5S audit)
• Provides Industrial Engineering services to enhance the performance and / or process knowledge: improve current OEE measurement, implement new KPIs in production, support revision of the standard time improving the methodology and tools, support technology investments through quantitative assessments
• Initiate and organize best practice activities aimed at enhancing business practices through a team approach (Facilitate, Lead Kaizen event /VSM)

Job Profile
-   Higher Professional education degree in Engineering (Industrial is ideal) is preferred for the position (alternatively experience in Lean Six Sigma project with proven track record and significant work experience 3-5 years in similar roles.
-   Team player, strong ability to establish relationships based on trust and respect, entrepreneurs, creativeness. Excellent communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization. As a team player it is required the capacity to work together with other team players, exchanging information and supporting colleagues to achieve personal and team goals.
-   Experience in project management
-   Master in statistical process control methodology
-   Master in Lean Six Sigma (Green belt minimum; Black belt desired)
-   Hands-on mentality
-   Reporting and analytical skills
-   Advanced presentation skills and workshop facilitation
-   Fluent in English and Dutch language, both written and verbal
-   Business/ Finance knowledge
